I'm not a career politician. I'm a combat veteran who spent 24 years caring for the people serving beside me — and I'm running to bring that same steady, service-first attention to District 3.

I served in the United States Navy from 1990 to 2014 as an Independent Duty Hospital Corpsman, qualified in both Fleet Marine Force and Surface Warfare. I deployed overseas many times, including combat tours in the First Gulf War and Operation Enduring Freedom. An Independent Duty Corpsman is often the only medical provider for miles — the person everyone counts on to stay calm and make the right call under pressure. That's the kind of responsibility I'll carry into county government.

Since coming home, I've kept right on serving — as a public school teacher and a union worker. And my roots here run deep: I'm a multi-generation native of District 3, not someone who showed up just to run for office.

My principles don't shift with the political winds: Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness, built on the bedrock of the U.S. Constitution, the rule of law, and the conviction that all people are created equal. District 3 is its own blend of Kentucky — the small-city neighborhoods of Elizabethtown alongside the farms and rural communities of Colesburg, Youngers Creek, Burns Hollow, and Tunnel Hill. Both deserve a magistrate who shows up for them.

What I'll work on, item by item.

A magistrate's real job is voting on the county budget and the decisions that follow from it. Here's where I'll put that vote to work.

01 Spend tax dollars carefully

Every line of the county budget should be open and justified. I'll push for clear priorities, competitive bidding, and an end to wasteful spending — so residents know exactly where their money goes.

02 Fix and maintain our roads

Safe, well-kept roads and bridges aren't a luxury — they're the most basic thing the county owes its residents. I'll fight for a maintenance plan that doesn't let problem roads sit for years.

03 Real oversight of EMS

When you call 911, the ambulance has to come — fast. I spent 24 years as a Navy Independent Duty Corpsman, often the only medic for miles, and I know what a delayed response costs. I'll push the Fiscal Court to track and publish EMS response times, staffing, and spending, ask the hard questions when the numbers slip, and make sure our fire, EMS, and sheriff's services have the people and equipment to answer every call.

04 Open, accountable government

Meetings, budgets, and decisions should be easy for any resident to find and understand. I'll show up, listen, and give you a straight answer — every time.

05 One district, urban and rural alike

District 3 runs from Elizabethtown's city neighborhoods out to the farms and hollows of Colesburg, Youngers Creek, Burns Hollow, and Tunnel Hill. I'll make sure neither half gets overlooked — that rural roads, water, and broadband get the same attention as in-town services, and that our agricultural community has a real voice on the Fiscal Court.
